Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Legal-Only Ceremony in Brisbane

Private celebrants, not a government registry. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

A legal-only ceremony is a short marriage ceremony that focuses on the legal requirements and nothing else.

People also call this a paperwork-only marriage, a registry-style marriage, or a legals-only ceremony.

In Australia, a legal marriage still needs:

  • an authorised celebrant
  • a completed Notice of Intended Marriage
  • two witnesses aged 18 or over
  • the required legal wording
  • the signing of the marriage certificates

That means there is still a ceremony, but it is very short and very simple.

What our Brisbane service is

We are private celebrants providing a low-cost legal-only marriage service.

We are not a government registry.

We help you with the paperwork, explain the process in plain language, and keep the day focused on getting you legally married.

What it is not

This is not the right service if you want:

  • a full wedding ceremony
  • personal vows
  • a guest-centred celebration
  • styling, flowers, or photography

For a full wedding ceremony, go to Josh Withers.

For an elopement, go to Elopement Collective.
